NumberBook Social: A New Way To Deal With Your Contacts Review
NumberBook Social is an app which helps you to organize your contacts and your calls on your smartphone. It has a unique caller ID and a dialer.
You can download NumberBook Social for Android, Blackberry, Windows and Windows Phone.
Basically, it's a new design of your regular default phone book on your smartphone. But this one is with a lot of ads. One of its main features is contact list, search contacts online, a dialer and a caller ID. It has a country's code available when you try to put the contact into the list. Then you can add an address and more info about it.
Number book looks especially cool when you tap on your phone contact, there's a moving image of something and slick design of the contact’s info. From there you can see the contact's call history, report spam or block it or connect through the messenger this person is registered in (you can see it from this menu). Other than that it doesn't have anything more special than your pre-installed phone book.
It's nice that this app has a brand character - Nibo - who helps you to search numbers. But the problem is that it doesn't find any. I've tried to input one of the numbers from my phone book and it didn't get any results. But after that, the app offers you to suggest a name meaning that you can put this number's info into the app. Also, it suggested me to search the web which also doesn't give me any results though I know that this person's number is on the web. The last option it suggests for finding the number is to ask a friend, you can share this number via social media and see if any of your friends know this number.
Their website doesn't give enough information about the app like how to use it to its highest efficiency. And the app's socials don't work e.g. their Instagram contains old website address and their YouTube channel doesn't have any videos. What's up NumberBook? Did you guys give up on the app?
Cross-platform use 3/5
Only in this NumberBook Social Review, you can learn that this app isn't working for iOS. Although, on their website, there's a link for App Store it doesn't open. On Android it performs without any bugs, at least we didn't experience them.
Google Play says that there are purchases in the app but we couldn't figure out what are they because the app didn't suggest any and we couldn't find it anywhere in the app or in the app's socials. So we still wonder what could cost beginning from 50¢ up to $40 according to Play Store.
The Bottom Line
We don't really see the point in downloading Numberbook Social. Because it'll only work if the person has downloaded and registered in the app. And this app doesn't have any heavy ad campaign to support people all over the world to install it and that iOS’ owners can't download it makes it even worse to find and communicate with people.
You should give up on this app just as its creators did.
Pros : Pretty nice and comfortable design;
It has a brand character;
You can set the caller ID to your liking (e.g. its position on the screen).
Cons : The website info is confusing;
Doesn't support iOS;
Cross-platform use 3.0
